Depending on where you live, it can be hard to imagine what life is like without clean water.
Meet the students at Olereko Comprehensive (K-8th) School. For the first time in their history, they now have clean water, thanks to our donors. Their lives (and the lives of their families and teachers) will never be the same. In fact, from this moment on, the generations that follow these students will be impacted by this gift too. All because of the generosity of people who may never get to talk to them.

Brenda and Janet are among the oldest girls at Olereko Comprehensive School. Each day, their class is responsible for collecting water for the school. The trip begins downhill, toward the river, where they fill 20-liter (that's over 5 gallons) containers with brown water. When full, each bucket weighs nearly 40 pounds.
They lift the containers onto their heads and begin the walk back—uphill.
Back at school, the water the girls carried will be used for cleaning and cooking—and, later, strained through cloth, boiled if there is firewood, and poured into cups for drinking. But in the heat of the African sun, water boiled in the afternoon often remains too hot to drink before the children leave for home. Many drink it anyway. Others go without. Either way, the cost is borne by the girls who carried it—time pulled from lessons, energy spent before class even begins, and risk absorbed quietly as part of the day.
BEFORE WE DRILLED A DEEP WELL AT THEIR SCHOOL...
NOW, THEY GATHER AND DRINK AS MUCH SAFE, CLEAN WATER AS THEY WANT, JUST A FEW STEPS AWAY FROM THEIR CLASSROOMS.
This sweet school and it's students represent many of the schools that we have already helped, but there are so many more still waiting and praying for God to make a way for them to access clean water. We are on a mission to help every school that we can in the Trans-Mara region of Kenya through our Maasai School Project.
After completing 220 school wells in the neighboring Kuria region, we moved into Maasai territory known as the Trans-Mara region, and we have provided clean water to an additional 79 schools already! We have identified 97 more schools for Phase 2 of this project, and we're looking for crowd funders, partners and sponsors to help bring every school clean water for life!
If you're inspired to get involved and learn more, it's not hard to become a life-changer, and to make a difference for thousands of people.
WAYS TO GET INVOLVED:
Join One Tribe - One Tribe is our community of monthly givers. 100% of your monthly gift goes directly towards sponsoring clean water projects in Kenya and Tanzania.
