As Easter approaches, we are reflecting on the greatest gift ever given—the hope and new life found in Jesus.
From the very beginning, Hydrating Humanity has been about more than just clean water. While access to safe, natural water meets a critical physical need, we believe just as deeply in sharing the Living Water—Jesus—with those we serve.
Our work of providing natural water is the spearhead for sharing the love of God and the good news of Jesus. In many of the communities and schools where we work, the spiritual landscape is confused by all kinds of teachings, and at times, the people we serve are practicing tribal customs or another faith entirely.
To date, we have shared the good news of Jesus' love with over 1 Million people! Some of the ways we share the Gospel include:
The Jesus Film screenings at schools, followed by an invitation to receive Jesus. We have several dedicated staff, who's roles exist solely to present the film and share the gospel at these screenings.
Gospel Presentations at Well Dedication Ceremonies, teaming up with local pastors. We have ceremonies when a new well is installed and the community or school gathers to celebrate.
Awana Discipleship Programs for students at schools
Gospel tracts for kids, custom designed to fit their African identity and culture. Many of these kids have never been given a book of their own, so to be given something that is their own, with a story about how God loves them, is really meaningful. Can you see it in their faces?
Feeding Widows Program at Christmas, demonstrating God's love for the "least of these" by bringing food and - check out this recent blog post about this program.
We are on a mission to eradicate the waterborne disease crisis and to pour out God's love on as many East Africans as we encounter. When you become part of our mission, you are helping us share the Gospel across Africa. Join us!

Join One Tribe - One Tribe is our community of monthly givers. 100% of your monthly gift goes directly towards sponsoring clean water projects in Kenya and Tanzania. You simply set the amount that works for you, and the cumulative effect of many like-minded individuals translates into incredible impact. One Tribe givers have now sponsored over 215 projects to date!
Sponsor a Project - we have several types of wells and projects that you could choose to sponsor (either fully or in part). When you sponsor a well, you receive a commemorative book with location details, photos of the completed project and the people you've impacted.
Start a Fundraiser - we make it easy to create your own goals and fundraising plan with our custom My Humanity Project page. You simply set up a project with a goal, and share the link with your friends and family. It's a great thing to do for a birthday or just to rally your friends together to create a lasting legacy.
Church Partnerships - We partner with churches to sponsor projects, and this is a great way to create a missional focus for your church.
